Application: The project involved implementing a "Photovoltaic Energy Storage System" at the News Center for the Boao Forum for Asia.
Results: Following a comprehensive upgrade, the News Center now boasts one of the most advanced photovoltaic energy storage systems in the country. Annual energy consumption has decreased from 650,000 kWh to 520,000 kWh, while generating an additional 550,000 kWh of clean energy annually. This represents a 30% increase in system capacity and reduces the need for grid distribution upgrades in the demonstration area. The system features long-life vanadium flow batteries, which offer nearly four times the charge/discharge cycles of traditional lithium batteries, allowing for self-consumption and surplus energy to be fed back into the grid.
